Sudigali Sudheer is a popular name in the TV industry. He has turned hero for a film called Gaalodu which has hit the screens today. Let’s see how the movie turns out to be.

Sudigali Sudheer is known as Gaalodu in his village as he has absolutely no seriousness in life. He gets into a fight with the village Sarpanch’s son and accidentally kills him. He runs away to Hyderabad and in one incident, he helps the heroine played by Gehna Sippy. Impressed by this, she puts him as her driver and also falls in love with him. But like in all movies, the heroine’s father gets upset and tries to stop the affair. How does the couple come out of this is the story of the film.

Plus Points:

The film is a regular love story but Sudigali Sudheer stands out. He is superb and has solid screen presence. Everyone will be shocked to see dance in the film. He is as good as a star hero when it comes to dances. The mass fights and attitude suit Sudheer quite well and will be liked by many.

Gehna Sunny plays the female lead and she too was also good in her role. She shares good chemistry with the hero. Saptagiri and Shakalaka Shankar were good in their comedy roles.

One of the biggest assets of the film is the music by Bheems Ciciroleo. All the songs are superb and have also been shot quite well. The climax fight is styled well.

Minus Points:

The film has absolutely no story and is weak in the emotional department. The entire first half has no story as the hero introduction and mass shots bore the audience. They look good on Sudheer but are dragged for no reason.

The director decided to showcase Sudheer in a mass manner which sounds good but is taken to the extreme level and it looks over the top. There was absolutely no need of so much hero elevation in so many scenes and this makes the audience bore.

The actual plot is water thin and there are no twists and turns in the movie. The heroine’s father is key and the actor chosen is very dull. The same is the case with the main villain as well.

The heroine falls for an unethical hero and the reason for her to go crazy on him has not been established well. Also, the climax is rushed and the court scenes look outright silly after a while. The film has no seriousness at all in the first half.

Technical Aspects:

As said earlier, music by Bheems is just amazing and so was his BGM. The locales chosen for songs and the choreography was also impressive. The dialogues and camera work were also neat along with the production values.

Coming to the director Rajasekhar, he has done a poor job with the film as his narration is lack lustre. The concentration that he put on music, dance and fights is good but the rest goes for a toss. The film has no emotion and weak supporting cast derail the film.

On the whole, Gaalodu is silly action drama that has nothing new to showcase. Sudigali Sudheer is the only solace as he is superb with his dances and mass role. But sadly, the film fails in the other departments and ends as a boring watch this weekend.

Gaalodu Movie : What's Behind

Sudheer Anand aka Sudigali Sudheer earned fame with Jabardasth and shows on small screens. He is quite popular nad familiar among TV audiences. He tried his luck on big screen with a couple of films, Software Sudheer and Wanted Pandugod. This time he has chosen a mass subject for his third film Titled 'Gaalodu'. The film is Directed by Rajasekhar Reddy Pilichara who earlier worked with Sudheer for Software Sudheer film. Gaalodu released in theatres on November 18. Let's see how far this Gaalodu impresses us.

Gaalodu Movie : Story Review

Rajinikanth (Sudigali Sudheer) is in a central jail convicted for murder. Cut to the flashback... He is a good for nothing guy roaming in his village. While gambling, he beats the local leader's son. When Raja came to know that he was dead because of his beating, he escapes from police and reaches Hyderabad. He meets Shukla (Gehana Sippy) and saves her in an incident. She appoints him as a driver in her house. Both fall for each other and everything is going well with duets, Police arrest Rajinikanth on murder charges. To know about what happens next must be watched on the big screen only.

Gaalodu Movie : Artists, Technicians Review 

Rajasekhar Reddy Pulicharla came up with an age old story treated with much older narration. The entire film seems amateurish and offers nothing to sit through it. The first half begins in a prison with unwanted buildup scenes for Sudheer. The same continues when the story shifts to the flashback. The characterisation of hero which was supposed to be a tapori is poorly written not even on the standards of a low budgeted YouTube shortfilm. Hero teasing heroine, comedy scenes, songs placement... everything makes it a perfect bad film. 

The interval bang (?) left the audience banging their heads in the beginning of second half for such insipid writing.  The second half is about Raja trying to push away Shloka as he is wanted by the police. But, Shloka sincerely loves Raja and he too accepts her love. All these were portrayed in the most possible silly scenes. After knowing that her daughter is in love with a driver, Heroines'a father tries to lure him into a conspiracy so that he will be showed as a cheater before his daughter. Finally police arrest Raja and submits him in court. Finally all ends well with another 'everything fall in place' court scene we have already seen a million times. The film further prolonged with a pathos song, may be the director wanted the audience to join as chorus as their situation is far worse by then. 

Sudigali Sudheer is a mismatch for the Gaalodu role. However, Sudheer impresses with energetic dances in songa. But, his hair style and body language doesn't suit him. He needs to improve a lot when it comes to expressions and timing. Heroine Gehana Sippy is okay and emoted well. Sapthagiri and Shakalaka Shankar tried hard to evoke laughs but failed due to lackluster writing. The music from Bheems is forgettable. Dialogues are pathetic while trying to rhyme every word, for ex : 

Appu sampadana kaadu

Vaapu balam kaadu

Rape magatanam kaadu... This is only a sample.

Gaalodu Movie : Analysis Review

Altogether, Gaalodu is neither entertaining not passable. It isn't even bearable for its outdated writing and narrative style. Director Rajasekhar Reddy tried to make a full-on mass film with Sudigali Sudheer. But, he failed to have a proper script with an interesting story with impactful scenes. Due to lack of these, Gaalodu became Gandaragolodu and failed in each and every department resulting a forgettable film for both Hero and Director. Bearing all these aspects, CineJosh is going with a 1 rating for Gaalodu.

Gaalodu movie review - a terrible ego trip.

'Gaalodu', produced by Raja Sekar Reddy Pulicharla, was released in theatres today.

Gaalodu (Sudigali Sudheer) is a happy-go-lucky, irresponsible youngster from a small village somewhere in a Telugu State. He is fond of gambling, addictions and picking fights with all and sundry. On one fateful occasion, he accidentally kills the son of an influential village head. To escape the law, he runs away to Hyderabad, where he falls in love with the daughter ( Gehna Sippy ) of a rich businessman. But there will come a day when he will be tried for murder. How is he going to escape? Will he be able to live happily with his girlfriend?

'Gaalodu' rides heavily on the image of its lead man Sudigali Sudheer, whose unimpeachable popularity among youngsters is proven by the fact that the film's opening-day collections are respectable. In a Hyderabad multiplex, where this reviewer caught up with the mindless movie, the attendance was about 90% for the evening show. This would qualify to be a win even in the pre-pandemic era; today, it's a bigger win.

It takes a special ability to fritter away such goodwill. The momentum offered by Sudheer's popularity is also the film's biggest demerit. Everything is about Sudheer in this film. The action, the love story, the conflict - everything has been rendered mindless to the point that even the most optimistic audience member starts gasping in utter disbelief at the unfolding farce.

The male lead is addicted to vices, doesn't mind stealing, and proudly flaunts his incompetence. The heroine, like a true-blue Telugu cinema female lead, likes him and calls him Rajinikanth. Two or three dream songs follow. If you are wondering what makes a rich woman with perfectly fine parents fall for such a loafer, it is the fact that he saves her from, well, rapists. In our films, rapists exist for the sole purpose of helping the hero sweep a rich girl off her feet.

When a Shakalaka Shankar or a Sudigali Sudheer is the hero, the film's identity assumes confusing forms. 'Gaalodu' becomes a farcical comedy in the pre-climax phase when the heroine is shown to admire the hero because he says things like this: 'Crows are ideal because they have so much unity amongst themselves'.

What passes for romance in this film is harassment: the hero walks into the heroine's bedroom (he is her driver, so it's very believable that he gets access to her bedroom in the middle of the night. Isn't it?) and makes her believe that he wants to molest her. She doesn't scream despite what her driver is up to. Days later, she is firmly in love with him.

Closing Remarks

This film is a star vehicle for wannabe star hero Sudigali Sudheer . This line must be enough to scare you. Isn't it?

Gaalodu Story

Sudigali Sudheer plays the role of Gaalodu, a carefree villager, in the film. The word translates to idler in English. Everything goes smoothly in Gaalodu’s life until he gets involved in a clash with the village Sarpanch’s son and kills him accidentally. Fearing the repercussions of this crime, he flees the village and lands in Hyderabad. There, he falls in love with Shukla, played by Gehna Sippy, who hires him as her driver. However, her father doesn’t approve of their relationship. How the couple overcomes various roadblocks in their love story forms the crux of Gaalodu.

Technical aspects

The biggest drawback of Gaalodu is its storyline, which doesn’t have anything novel to offer in terms of content. It seems that director Raja Sekar Reddy Pulicharla has followed a routine template devoid of any interesting subplots, which fails to make Gaalodu engaging. Another shortcoming of this Sudigali Sudheer-starrer is its editing. A crisp editing could have made the film’s plot even more gripping.

Sudigali Sudheer’s exemplary performance is the highlight of this film. His electrifying chemistry with Gehna Sippy also makes for an interesting watch. Besides them, the supporting cast of Gaalodu also put forth convincing performances.

Gaalodu Review: ‘జబర్దస్త్’ కమెడియన్స్ కొందరు గత కొంతకాలంగా సినిమాల్లో కీలక పాత్రలు పోషిస్తున్నారు. అవకాశం లభించాలే కానీ అడపా దడపా హీరోలుగానూ నటిస్తున్నారు. అలా సుడిగాలి సుధీర్ ఇప్పటికే రెండు మూడు సినిమాల్లో హీరోగా నటించి, తన అదృష్టం పరీక్షించుకున్నాడు. ఇప్పుడు మరోసారి ‘గాలోడు’తో అదే పనిచేశాడు. మరి ఈ గాలి సోకిన ప్రేక్షకుల పరిస్థితి ఏమిటో తెలుసుకుందాం!!

రాజు (సుడిగాలి సుధీర్) పల్లెటూరి కుర్రాడు. ఊరిలో అల్లరి చిల్లరగా తిరుగుతుంటాడు. ఓ రోజు పేకాటలో సర్పంచ్ కొడుకుపై చేయి చేసుకోవడంతో అతను చనిపోతాడు. దాంతో ఊరు వదిలి పెట్టి రాజు హైదరాబాద్ పారిపోతాడు. అక్కడ కాలేజీ స్టూడెంట్ శుక్లా (గెహనా సిప్పి)తో పరిచయం అవుతుంది. ఆకతాయిల నుండి తనను కాపాడిన రాజును తన తండ్రికి పరిచయం చేసి, డ్రైవర్ గా ఉద్యోగంలో పెట్టిస్తుంది శుక్లా. అలా మొదలైన వారి పరిచయం ప్రేమకు దారితీస్తుంది. ఇదే సమయంలో పల్లెటూరిలో హత్య చేసి సిటీకి వచ్చిన రాజును వెతుక్కుంటూ పోలీసులు వస్తారు. హత్య కేసులో శిక్ష పడిన రాజు.. జైలు నుండి ఎలా బయటపడ్డాడు? తన నిర్దోషిత్వాన్ని ఎలా నిరూపించుకున్నాడు? ఈ విషయంలో లాయర్ విజయ భాస్కర్ (సప్తగిరి) అతనికి ఎలాంటి సాయం చేశాడు? అన్నదే మిగతా కథ.

పరమ సాదాసీదా కథను ఎంపిక చేసుకుని దర్శకనిర్మాత రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి పులిచర్ల ఈ సినిమాను తీశారు. హీరో జైలుకు వెళ్ళటంతో మొదలైన ఈ సినిమా అక్కడ నుండి ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ లో సాగుతుంది. అతను జైలు నుండి బయటకు వచ్చి, హీరోయిన్ ను పెళ్ళి చేసుకోవడంతో ముగుస్తుంది. సినిమా స్టార్టింగ్ నుండి ఎండింగ్ వరకూ ఒక్కటంటే ఒక్కటి కూడా కొత్త సన్నివేశం కనిపించదు. మేటర్ తక్కువ, బిల్డప్ ఎక్కువ అన్నట్టుగా సినిమా సాగుతుంది. గతంలో సుడిగాలి సుధీర్ తో దర్శకుడు రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి ‘సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ సుధీర్’ అనే సినిమా తెరకెక్కించాడు. ఆ అనుబంధంతోనే ఈ సినిమాను స్వీయ దర్శకత్వంలో నిర్మించాడు. డబ్బున్న అమ్మాయిని ఆవారాగా తిరిగే కుర్రాడు ప్రేమించడం, ప్రేమ గుడ్డిదనే మాటను నిరూపిస్తూ, ఆమె ఇతనితో ప్రేమలో పడిపోవడం, వారి ప్రేమను చూసి తట్టుకోలేక హీరోయిన్ తండ్రి విలన్ గా మారడం, వారిని విడగొట్టాలని రకరకాలుగా ప్రయత్నించడం, చివరకు హీరో తన మంచితనంతో అందరి మనసులను గెలుచుకోవడం… ఇలా సింపుల్ పాయింట్ తో మూవీని తీసేశారు. కథలో కొత్తదనం ఇసుమంతైనా లేదు… కనీసం కథనమైన ఆకట్టుకుంటుందా అంటే అదీ లేదు! రొటీన్ రొట్టకొట్టుడు టేకింగ్! ఈ తరం ఆడియెన్స్ ను ఇలాంటి పాచిపోయిన కథతో ఎలా మెప్పించవచ్చని దర్శక నిర్మాత భావించారో అర్థం కాదు! ఇందులో కొన్ని సీన్స్ డబుల్ మీనింగ్ డైలాగ్స్ తో జబర్దస్త్ కామెడీ సీన్స్ ను గుర్తుకు తెస్తాయి.

నటీనటుల విషయానికి వస్తే… కమెడియన్ ఇమేజ్ ఉన్న సుడిగాలి సుధీర్ కు ఇది నప్పే పాత్ర కాదు. హీరోయిజాన్ని ఎలివేట్ చేయాలనే తపన తప్పితే దర్శకుడికి మరో ఆలోచన ఉన్నట్టుగా కనిపించదు. హీరో ఎంట్రీ సీన్ నుండి ప్రతి సన్నివేశాన్నీ బిల్డప్ షాట్స్ తో నింపేశారు. వినోదాన్ని పంచాల్సిన చోట కూడా హీరోయిజాన్నే చూపించారు. కనిపెంచిన తల్లిదండ్రులు, నానమ్మ మీద గౌరవం లేని గాలోడి పాత్రలో సుధీర్ ను ఊహించుకోవడం కష్టమే. సెకండ్ హాఫ్‌ లో ఆ పాత్రలో రియలైజేషన్ ను చూపించినా, అదేమంత ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా లేదు. ‘చోర్ బజార్’ మూవీతో టాలీవుడ్ ఎంట్రీ ఇచ్చిన గెహనా సిప్పి తెర మీద చూడటానికి బాగానే ఉంది. దాంతో పాటలు, వాటి లొకేషన్స్ కాస్తంత చూడదగ్గవిగా అనిపిస్తాయి. ఇతర ప్రధాన పాత్రలను సప్తగిరి, రవిరెడ్డి, ఆధ్య, అజయ్, శరత్, పృధ్వీరాజ్, సత్యకృష్ణన్ తదితరులు పోషించారు. ప్రముఖ దర్శక నిర్మాత తమ్మారెడ్డి భరద్వాజ జడ్జి పాత్రలో కనిపించారు. మొత్తం సినిమాలో షకలక శంకర్ పాత్రే కాస్తంత వినోదాన్ని పంచేది.

టెక్నీషియన్స్ విషయానికి వస్తే…. యాక్షన్ సీన్స్ మూవీకి హైలైట్ గా నిలిచాయి. అలానే రాంప్రసాద్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ కూడా. అతనే ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ డిజైనర్ కూడా. అంతేకాదు… జైలర్ గానూ రాంప్రసాద్ ఓ సీన్ లో తళుక్కున మెరిశాడు. ఇక ప్రాస కోసం రచయిత పడిన పాట్లు సినిమా అంతటా కనిపిస్తాయి. మూవీ టైటిల్ సాంగ్ లో కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ బాబా భాస్కర్ సైతం హీరోతో కలిసి ఓ స్టెప్ వేశాడు. సంగీత దర్శకుడు భీమ్స్ సిసిరోలియో ఇచ్చిన ట్యూన్స్ లో కొత్తదనం లేదు. నేపథ్య సంగీతమూ సో… సో… గానే ఉంది. మొత్తంగా గాలిని పోగేసి… జనాలను మెప్పించాలని దర్శక నిర్మాత రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి ప్రయత్నించాడు. అది సఫలీకృతం కావడం కష్టం! రాబోయే రోజుల్లో అయినా సుడిగాలి సుధీర్ కథల ఎంపికపై కాస్తంత శ్రద్థ పెడితే మంచిది!!

Gaalodu Review: Strictly for Sudheer’s fans

Jabardast fame Sudigali Sudheer gained a good following with his comedy timing and his overall personality on the small screen. He even made his debut as a leading man with Software Sudheer a few years ago, and now, his second film as a leading man, Gaalodu, was released today. Let’s see how the film has turned out to be.

Gaalodu is about Raju, a village guy, who goes to the city after he is accused of a murder. In the city, he works as a driver for Shukla and falls in love with her. However, he is soon arrested for the alleged murder, and the rest of the story is about how Raju proves that he’s innocent.

On-Screen Performances:

Without doubt, Sudheer is the scene stealer of the movie. While his comedy timing is ultimate, he is also pretty good when it comes to action sequences, and dramatic scenes, and his dancing skills were also highly impressive.

Leading lady Gehna Sippi is also good enough in her role. She looks good and does her best in whatever she’s been given.

Shakalaka Shankar and Saptagiri provide good humour, and their combination scenes with Sudheer are some of the major highlights of the film. The rest of the supporting cast in good in their roles.

Off-Screen Talents:

The director hasn’t chosen an out of the box story for the film, and Gaalodu is pretty much a run off the mill story. The story is quite stale when compared to the films that have been coming out of late, and offers nothing new. The screenplay is boring and the movie lags a lot. This is something the director could have worked on a lot better.

The cinematography is good, and so is the production design of the film. The background music is good enough, and songs are just okay. The editing could have been so much better.

Plus Points:

• Cinematography

Minus Points:

• Boring screenplay
• Lack luster story line
• Poor execution

Verdict:  Gaalodu is entertaining in pieces, with Sudheer being the main asset of the film. Apart from that, there’s nothing new that the film has to offer to the audience. At best, the film can be watched once. The movie is strictly for Sudheer’s fans.

The lead characters' names are Rajinikanth and Shukla. Shukla, portrayed by Gehna Sippy, who was desperately in love with Raju, a.k.a. Rajini, served as the catalyst. The actor, who was portraying the girl with a nice soul, was endearing and amazing. Comedy actors Sapthagiri, who portrayed a wealthy beggar, and Shakalaka Shankar, who played a chef, performed well and supplied amusing comedy. Prudvi, Satya Krishna, and other side actors made up the cast.

The film's narrative follows the development of a reckless and irresponsible villager. Due to his complete lack of seriousness in life, Sudigali Sudheer (Rajinikanth) is known in his village as Gaalodu. The term 'Gaalodu' typically refers to a lazy man or a workless man. Rajinikanth, a carefree villager, flees to Hyderabad after getting into a conflict with the chieftain's son in the area. While aimlessly exploring the city, he, by chance, encounters Shukla, a sweet young woman from a wealthy family. She tries to help him, and as a result of what happens, she learns more about him and finally falls in love with him. What happens when Shukla falls madly in love with Raj or Rajinikanth? What is Raju running away from? This is the full movie's plot.

(Sudigali Sudheer) Raj, also known as Rajinikanth, wanders aimlessly across the town. In the midst of a poker game, Rajinikanth fights the son of the local Sarpanch. The conflict results in the death of the Sarpanch's son. Because of this, Raj flees the village and reaches Hyderabad. Raj, who recently arrived in the city, spends his time begging people and eating offerings at religious institutions. Shukla, who is presented to Rajinikanth in this time period, is the character played by Gehana Sippy. Shukla offers Rajinikanth a job as a driver at her home after observing the actor's state. Rajinikanth eventually wins her heart. When she made him a proposal, he declined it. Rajinikanth is then taken into custody by the police while they are still in a complicated relationship. Sudigali Sudheer, also known as Sudheer Anand Bayana, who is well-known for being a comedian and presenter on Telugu television, displayed a different and heroic side in the movie Gaalodu. He gave an outstanding performance overall, putting on a sleek appearance, dancing with ease, and fighting with ease in the action scenes. The positive and negative elements of the movie are explained in detail below.

Positive Elements

Sudigali Sudheer shines out despite the movie being a typical love narrative. He is outstanding and has a strong screen presence. Dance in the movie will surprise everyone. When it comes to dancing, he is on par with a movie star. Many people would like Sudheer because of the crowd fighting and his attitude.

The female lead is played by Gehna Sunny, who did a wonderful job. She gets along well with the hero. Shakalaka Shankar and Saptagiri did well in their comedic parts as well.

The soundtrack, composed by Bheems Ciciroleo, is one of the movie's strongest points. All of the tracks are excellent, and the videos were all nicely produced. The combat at the end is also well-styled.

Negative Elements

The movie is poor on the emotional front and has no plot at all. The hero introduction and the mass shootings were boring to the viewers in the initial phase. Therefore, there is no plot in the first half at all. Despite being dragged without cause, they still look excellent on Sudheer.

The filmmaker made a choice to highlight Sudheer in a way that appeals to a wide audience, which is admirable in theory but appears excessive in practice. It was unnecessary to elevate the hero in so many situations, and the audience became bored as a result.

The film has no surprises, and the real narrative is paper thin. The reason why the heroine falls for an immoral hero and goes wild for him is not properly defined. Key to the story is the heroine's father, and the actor picked is quite uninteresting. The major antagonist is the same way.

The finale is also hurried, and the court scenes eventually come off as just ridiculous. The first half of the movie is completely lighthearted.

Technical Elements

As was previously stated, Bheems' BGM (background music) and the main tracks are both great. The locations for the songs, as well as the dance, were amazing. Along with the high production standards, the dialogue and camerawork were also well done.

Regarding the film's direction, Rajasekhar did an average job since his narration lacks flair. He pays considerable attention to music, dancing, and fighting while the rest is thrown to the wind. The lack of any passion in the movie and its mediocre supporting cast ruin it.

Movie Budget and Box Office Collection

Overall, the budget for the movie was around three crores. It should have earned a gross of 4.5 Crore to be called a hit film. Let's now look at the numbers:

Final Judgement

The film is counted as a Hit according to the statistical data, but as a viewer, it could be made better. From the audience's point of view, this was another failed attempt by Sudheer to establish himself as the main protagonist (hero). The film takes you back in time while also conjuring up similar themes and subplots from a number of films released in the early 2000s. Gaalodu and the audience suffered greatly from a lack of novelty and poor execution.

Awards and Nominations

The movie has yet to earn any awards due to the lack of an interesting storyline. Still, it has been nominated for the Nandi Awards, FNCC Telugu Film Awards, MAA TV Cine Awards, Filmfare Awards - Telugu, and Santhosham Film Awards.
