Thesis statement: Leadership depends on the leader's leadership style and there way of communicating ideas rather than the leader themselves. Both women and men believe in similar leadership styles however women prefer a more participative leadership approach. According to organisational behaviour by McShane, leadership is defined as influencing, motivating and enabling others to contribute towards the effectiveness and success of the organisation of which they are members (page 382, McShane).Becoming an effective leader depends on the leader's leadership style. Successful leaders have vision and charisma, also the leader should have an ongoing personality, talkative, careful and self–disciplined. The leader must also have self–concept.. more content... Albert Einstein was a very influential leader in the modern era, as he transformed humanity's understanding of the universe. In the 1920's he become an active leader of international movement (The guardian, 2012). A path goal theory is based on the expectancy theory of motivation which relates to several types of leadership styles that relates to specific followers. In the path goal theory there are three leadership styles that make an effective leader, these include, the leader must be directive, and this includes clarifying performance goals, using rewards and being task orientated. Leaders should also be supportive this means the leader should be friendly and approachable, treats everyone equally and with respect. The last leadership style if participative, the leader should consult employees, ask for suggestions and take their ideas into consideration (McShane, p388). Albert was a good leader due to his excellence in leadership qualities which where it was an excellent listener, he was always motivated and have good knowledge, power and influence in how to lead. Einstein always listened to everyone and never ignore them, however he learnt from them on how to improve his leadership styles, therefore making him a good leader. He was also motivated in discovering new ideas regardless of how many people put him down, and he also had a clear relationship between leadership and ethics which was significant in keeping a lasting impression as the world leader (Iain hay,

Thesis Statement Water pollution has had devastating effects on the environment, which include irreversible effects to the ocean's ecosystem, health problems and abnormal conditions. interference of the ocean's ecosystem – Plastic storage bags can kill animals in the oceans like dolphins, turtles and whales. It is easy for wildlife to swallow and eventually causes death. * Over 1 billion tons of plastic water bottles end up in US landfills each year. It takes over 300 years to degrade. health problems –Spread of diseases * Lead. Lead is hazardous to health as it accumulates in the body and affects the central nervous system. Children and pregnant women are most at risk. * Fluoride. Excess fluorides can cause.. more content... The chemical poisoning in water have a great impact on humans because it can cause brain damage and physical deformities in unborn fetuses. Pollution disrupts the natural food chain as well. Pollutants such as lead and cadmium are eaten by tiny animals. Later, these animals are consumed by fish and shellfish, and the food chain continues to be disrupted at all higher levels. Eventually, humans are affected by this process as well. People can get diseases such as hepatitis by eating seafood that has been poisoned. Besides, Water pollutants introduce abnormal conditions (harmful chemicals, changes in water temperatures) into water bodies, disrupting existing ecosystems and can potentially contribute to reducing biodiversity in that affected area – one of the effects of water pollution. For example, the discharge of heated–up water from thermal and nuclear power plants into a river can cause problems for aquatic organisms, which are fairly used to specific temperatures. The increase in water temperatures could increase their metabolic rates and hence their need for food. This could eventually lead to the depletion of food sources in that water region and in turn cause a reduction in species population in that water region. Besides thermal pollution, water could also be polluted via the entry of acidic substances into the water bodies through rivers, seas and oceans. The effects of water pollution by this process, known as

Drones Thesis Statement

Drones are now in much more parts of the world and are being discussed all about all over the world. Some may think drones are bad and should not be used while others think that they have a very positive effect. In this essay I will describe to you all the different reasons why drones should be kept. Drones should be kept commercially and militarily. "Drones are playing an increasingly important role in warfare around the world." This was stated by Warren, Stephan. Drones save a ton of soldier's life when they fight during combat. My interpretation is that every single soldier's life is a plus into keeping the country safe. The more soldiers in a country the better it is for the country to be kept safe. This statement refers back to my thesis.. more content... The number one reason drones should be kept because it saves a lot of people's lives all over the world. Second, it gives a lot of people other jobs and new jobs and that helps our growing population. Third, it gives Filmmakers a much bigger industry to work with and it widens the field of recording. The Drones should be kept for a number of reasons and the positives outweigh the negatives by a large amount. Every single point that has been stated above has been scientifically proven and I stated my interpretation. So these reasons are not only things that i personally think but are also things that have been proven by science. So these reasons are significant enough to keep drones running and to keep them in the

Writer's Statement Thesis Statement: Climate change is natural; however, advances of human society such as deforestation, industrialization, and the burning of fossil fuels, have increased the rate at which the climate is changing. My three major sources stood out when writing my research paper on climate change. My main source was Louis Bergeron's, "The World Can be Powered by Alternative Energy, Using Today's Technology, in 20–40 Years, Says Stanford Researcher Mark Z. Jacobson." In this article, Bergeron describes an energy researcher's plan to power the world with renewables within the next few decades. My second source was Marc Lallanilla's, "Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Causes and Sources." In this article, Lallanilla talked about the

Thesis Statement On Globalization

Globalization is an undeniable phenomenon of our modern societies. Global patterns keep spreading in many fields of our everyday life: food, economy, marketing, and last but not least, culture. Cultural products are indeed very often produced following the American pattern and exported to various places around the world. Hollywood blockbusters are huge hits in many different countries, our radios broadcast more and more American songs and even our national singers choose to sing in English rather than in their native language. Globalization is caused by many different factors. Cross–border processes such as interregional trade, employment, population migration and military conquest or colonization probably constitute the main factors (Holton, 2000, 141, 149)... more content... Lastly, religions play an important role too by gathering people scattered across the globe under an identical cosmology, thus creating imagined communities (Anderson, 1983). Globalization, by connecting people through the media, also creates such a community: inhabitants of the world share the idea of a global community and an international identity. This is why we could define globalization as the compression of time and space (Harvey, 1983). Communications as well as people can travel at an ever increasing speed, thereby giving the impression that every corner of the world is at hand. The main thesis about globalization argues that it leads to a phenomenon of homogenization. My hypothesis however is that some cultures are so different and so deeply rooted in their environment that they can't simply be erased. They will be modified, influenced but not standardized under one unique model. This will lead to hybrid products, thereby proving the hypothesis of glocalization, introduced by
