Canceled Resume Now subscription and immediately received an email Thanking me for my subscription to Cover Letter now. I did not give authorization nor subscribe to Civer Letter now and spent another 20 minutes of my time connecting with Juan to get this canceled. I’m not impressed with these tactics at all.

I canceled my subscription and still charged
I canceled my subscription and they still charred me and without any noticing email. And i cannot remove my card details from my account. be careful with this. Update They were helpful and provided a refund also will delete my card details. Still annoying that no mail to remind you that you will be charged. For this I will update to 3 stars.

charges without my permission
9/5/24 I recently had some charges that needed to be addressed, and I was pleased to find that they were promptly refunded. Thank you 8/21/24 I only intended to pay for ONE letter, but I was mistakenly charged for a 2-month subscription without my permission. To make matters worse, I received no receipts or notifications of these transactions via email or mail, leaving me unaware of the ongoing charges. Upon reviewing my account, you will see that I only used the service for ONE month and was charged for 2 additional months without my knowledge. I kindly request an immediate refund for these unauthorized charges.

I was in a hurry for a cover letter, needed in minutes. I was amazed at how fast accurate and professionally written it was. I got the job! I'm sure this will be my last full-time job, so I was going to cancel my subscription. When I called to cancel, I was so pleased at how nice the gentleman was, his professionalism was bar none the best customer service rep I've ever delt with. He signed me up with a discounted plan and showed me the full functionality of their system. He explained I could use it to help friends and family put together their resume and cover letter and search all their job postings. I cancelled this subscription before I was charged the monthly trial, yet I was charged 2 months after I had cancelled. I called and they acted as if they had no record of my cancellation, and asked for my contact phone even though they dont collect that data. Do not use this company, as they are not honest.

How can I fault this site service. Perhaps that it auto corrects my spoken English to American English....only kidding. The assistance was fantastic. I had applied for 92 jobs with my own very well written Resume & Cover Letter but no success. This is a total scam
This is a total scam. At first it said there was a free trial, then it charged $34.85 A MONTH! Why would a cover letter template need to charge monthly? I cancelled when I finally realized, asked for a refund for simply the last month (which hadn’t started) and I was charged again instead of being given the promised refund. This service is a TOTAL SCAM.

Something is Fishy
Something is fishy—even on this review page. The product is fine, but it is heavily promoted as free, and then you get charged and passively signed up for a subscription if you don't actively cancel. A fishy thing to me is that the Review total has only 8% one-star reviews, but about half I see are one-star, and some with very negative headlines are five stars.(Check out GC and M Smith below.) The review number seems inflated. Also, know that CoverLetterNow and MyPerfectResume are the SAME company--so you get charged twice for things promoted as free. Finally, as another recent reviewer writes, you cannot remove your payment info. I called and they said you cannot do it from the site but they can send an email with a special link to delete your data. Said it would take up to 30 days. Funny, it took less than 30 seconds to take the info and bill us--hopefully the deletion actually happens in 30 days but it should take 30 seconds.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. In September 2023 our 18 year old daughter paid $2.85 for a cover letter that was advertised as being free. Okay , small price to pay after she put the work in to input her information. 9 months later (June 2024) we just discovered that the company was fraudulently charging our credit card $23.85 / month for a service we never signed up for. They refuse to refund our payment. This company is a FRAUDULENT SCAM. Users beware.

I was going to cancel my subscription; However, I was so happy with the rep he signed me up for a discounted plan after he showed ne showed me the all the functions to their site I felt it was worth it to rewrite my resume using their system. They allow you to help friends and family not only look for a job in the thousands of postings they have, but it will also help them generate a resume & cover letter.
