Essay Is always obeying your parents a good idea? The normal answer will be, clearly yes. Always obeying your parents isn’t a great idea. The truth is, this would not be the right choice. Three main reasons why always obeying your parents is a bad idea include bad parenting skills, kids always obeying their parents could stop them from learning important life skills, and parents could ask their kids to do something harmful. Bad parenting skills could lead kids to disobey their parents. Most kids believe their parents are too controlling. The parents need to know exactly when their kids leave and exactly when they get back. Parents try to make their kids pursue a specific occupation. They try to convince their kids to pursue a career that they want their kids to pursue. Parents try to live their dream through their kids and force their kids to pursue a passion their kids are not passionate about. A common stereotype involving parents and careers is they want their kids be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher, or they are a disgrace. Bad parenting skills include parents having a lack of attention, experience, and knowledge about kids. Most parents don’t know how to deal with children. They don’t have patience and don’t try to understand situations from the kid’s side. For example, if a kid starts slacking in school, most parents will be unhappy with their kid. This might cause the parents to mentally and physically abuse their kid instead of trying to understand why their kid is starting to slack off. Parents don’t have the knowledge of how to deal with kids of young age and as they get older. Kids always obeying their parents could stop them from learning key life skills. Always listening and obeying parents could stop kids from being independent. If the parents make all the decisions for the kids, the kids will not know how to make decisions for themselves. The kids will rely on their parents to make all of his/her decisions. Parents could stop kids from having
Essay their own opinion. Kids will not have a voice for themselves. If kids always obey their parents, they will not know to how to stand up for a point they believe is right. They will not know what is right or wrong if they always obey their parents. Kids will basically be robots if they always obey their parents because they not have a choice to either obey or disobey. Parents could ask their kids to do something harmful. The parent’s directions could be self-destructive. Self-destructive means causing harm to oneself. Some parents try to make you be mentally self-destructive. They will try to make you give up on your dreams, so they can convince you to pursue a different dream. Parents may try to make their kid give up. Kids should always disobey their parents when it results in physical and mental harm to anyone. There are parents that try to use their kids as a weapon to cause harm to others. For example, if a kid always obeys his parents and they tell him to something harmful, he will do it. If the kid sometimes disobeys his parents, he will know what is right or wrong and make a decision about what he thinks is correct. Parents give birth to kids, feed kids, clothe kids. Always obeying parents isn’t the best choice. Obeying parents is great, but kids cannot obey them 24/7 as kids need to progress and make their own choices. Life is a voyage, which is to be completed independently. Always obeying parents is an awful idea because parents could ask kids to do something harmful, it could stop kids from learning life lessons, and bad parenting skills could lead kids to disobey their parents.
